I have always held a deep appreciation for music. To me,
music brings an unparalleled level of energy to human beings and serves as an excellent medium for personal expression.
I grew up in a very musical environment. My parents put my brother through piano lessons for 10 years and me through middle school and high school band. In middle school, I began to experiment with many different instruments such as the mandolin, drums, and the flute. I remember sneaking into the band room after school to teach myself the drums on the school's set (and getting kicked out by the instructor!)
On March 13th, 2020, the pandemic upended my life. I was a second-semester senior when the world suddenly shut down. While so much was unknown around that time, I knew that it was going to be one of the only times in my adult life when I would have nearly unlimited free time. I asked my friend's mom if I could borrow her guitar and begin learning. I did not expect that one decision to have such an impact on my life.
That summer, my friends and I started The American Dream Band from a church parking lot. We thought that playing music outdoors would be a productive activity where we could also practice social distancing.
At the beginning of college, I decided that I wanted to produce an album before I graduated. Using money I made on Robinhood, I bought an audio interface, microphones, and other necessary equipment to achieve this goal. I've learned a lot about audio engineering since then.
I am expecting to release my album in May of 2024. With a few exceptions, I am responsible for writing and playing every instrument track in my recordings.
As I mentioned on my home page, aerial photography is a new interest of mine.

I love to go hiking and camping in my free time. Additionally, I must emphasize my family's love for Chicago. We love to explore nature preserves and and historic downtowns all over the metropolitan area.
